Message summary: ...winter storm to impact the area starting sunday night...
A winter storm is forecast to move through the great lakes region late this weekend into early next week. The storm is expected to bring heavy snow to most of north central and northeast wisconsin, with accumulations of 6 inches or more anticipated north of a line from marshfield to shawano to sturgeon bay. Farther south, accumulations should be less due to a mix of rain, snow and sleet. Minor ice accumulations are also possible. The exact track of the system remains uncertain, and this will be critical for determining precipitation type, and snow and ice accumulations. If you plan to travel in central or northern wisconsin late sunday night through monday night, be sure to keep track of the latest national weather service forecasts, and be prepared for hazardous travel conditions.
